Laya

My name is Laya. After I was born I lived with a nice lady. Things happened in that lady's life and she sent me to live with her mom. I really missed her. When I lived at her mom's house, I became an "outside" dog. I lived with my new step-sister who was a rot. She was not very nice to me. One day the lady's mom, my new owner decided that she could not take care of me anymore and she sent out word that she wanted to find me a new home. My mommy heard about me and she rushed about an hour away just to meet me. The minute I seen my mom, I knew that she was the perfect person for me to live with. I just wagged my tail and licked her and my new human sisters and brother all over. I was so excited! The lady told my mom that I was two years old, so my mom is not completely sure when my birthday is, but we celebrate the day I came to move in with my mom as my birthday! I now live with my mom and dad and my human brother and two sisters, then I have my big brother Jake who doesn't really have anything to do with me, mom says its because he is very old, and with my little brother, Rocky, who does not like to play tug of war with me, but he does like to take stuff from me. Oh, and the cats. I love the cats but my little brother does not like them at all! I have lived with my mom for 2 years now and she says I am the best dog that she has ever had. When my mom got me, I had some health problems, the vet said that I had two busted ear drums and I have a torn ligiment in my back leg. My mom made sure that I was taken care of. My leg still hurts sometimes, but as long as I do not do to much then it is okay. My mom really wanted for me to have surgery to fix my leg but she said it was very expensive and she could not afford it. So we follow the vets orders and mom makes sure that I do not get to much exercise so my leg continues to heal properly. My favorite things to play with are ropes and sticks. I just love to play tug of war. My human sister does not like it when I am outside and she wants to play catch, because I like to chase the ball, but I do not like to give it back. My favorite places to sleep is on the couch next to my mom or in bed right next to my mom, but she makes me move a lot, because I like to lay my head on her and she likes to move a lot at night. I do not mind, I know when she goes to sleep, I can get right back next to her.
