Patrick
Patrick came from the Animal Rescue League as a stray. He had some severe behavioral problems, including excessive and hard mouthiness. I work there as a trainer, and after working with him, was very impressed on how extrordinarily intelligent he is. Pat and I instantly had a strong bond. Me, already a pittie lover, instantly thought what a great addition to my family he make. He is great with dogs and cats and is very sweet. My biggest concern was his behavior issues. What if someone adopted him and couldnt follow through with his behavior protocol, or what if he was playing, mouthed too hard and an inexpierienced owner thought he bit and sent him back to the shelter- it would be his death sentence. Though I always worry about this stuff with all the dogs at ARL, Patricks welfare was constantly on my mind. So, when me and my boyfriend decided to move, I brought Pat home for an overnight stay for him to meet the cats and my boyfriend. It was a match made in heaven, and Patrick has a forever home with a family who understands him and will always tolerate his quirky so-called behavior problems. I think his "problems" are what won me over. It makes him who he is and I wouldnt trade my Pittie for anything.
