We've mentioned elsewhere why Breed Specific Legislation is a bad idea. It blames dogs instead of their owners and then compounds the problem by focusing on entire breeds instead of individual dogs.

Breed Specific Legislation or BSL, is legislation enacted by local governments that limit or remove the right of people to own certain breeds of dogs based on the appearance of the dog. The problem with Breed Specific Legislation is that it is based on fear and ignorance.

Somewhere along the way, bully breeds got an undeserved bad rap. Few breeds bond as closely with their human companions as the playful pit; few demonstrate so much unreserved love and affection. It's fair to say no breed surpasses them in these qualities.
