EXTREME SHEDDING

My pit has been shedding since forever! I have to sweep everyday to get all the hair off the floor! His coat though is so shiny and pretty.My 6 month old son is starting to crawl and i can't stand the fact of dog hair being everywhere while he is in the  floor! I have asked vet and obviously they don't know! HELP!
