How to acclimate our pit bull to our new house.

My boyfriend and I are moving to a new house. We have had our pit bull, J, since he was 6 weeks old and now he's almost 3. He has never lived in another house but we go on many vacations and he's well traveled. I'm worried that this more permanent change of environment will be stressful to him. He's never had a "fence mate" before either. I'm thinking about dropping him off at my parents house a couple days of the week for "daycare" while I'm at work. How do we make the move as stress free as possible for him. Thanks in advance for all the advice :)
