PitBull Patriots

PitBull's have a uniquely Patriotic pedigree. From the heroic service of "Sergeant Stubby" in the U.S. army during WWI, to the military recruting posters featuring the image of the PitBull as a symbol that embodied America"s steadfast resolve. As PitBull owners and Patriots, we need to stand up, together, with that same resolve, for ourselves as Americans and our breed. Somehow America forgot this breed's selfless service to our nation, and needs to be reminded of the PitBull's Patriotic heritage. Who can forget the lovable "Petey" on the "Little Rascals" children's television show, "Tige" of the "Buster Brown" shoe company ads, and the RCA dog. All of them PitBulls and American icons. "America's dog" has long been a part of the fabric of our nation.Today PitBulls are still serving our country as therapy dogs, loyal companions, search and rescue, and service dogs, to name just a few. I believe that as Patriotic Americans, we can bring this noble heritage back into the American consciousness. I also believe that community building is an important part of this effort. This group is for all upstanding, law abiding Patriots who are ready and willing to work to expose the myths and stereotypes that feed the decidedly Un-American anti-PitBull bias.Together we can replace "Breed Specific Legislation" (BSL) with reason and mutual respect. Let's remind people of the positive and endearing qualities that have made this breed, and this country, what it is.

Man my rescue Sadie scared me yesterday. She was so abused and ran down when I adopted her that shelter and I waited few weeks to spay her, so she could get some weight and strength back.
