This is our rescued doggie King. He is deaf. He is in love with my 9 month old daughter Makayla. Makayla love King just as much!They are best friends!

So iv'e always wondered.... How do you train/discipline etc. a deaf dog? I'm just really curious...

I just got him about not even 2 months ago as a foster.. he was beat and abused and about 30 pounds underweught and never knew love or attention.. He is just getting used to all the love and attention and now is totally obsessed with kisses and love.. if you dont give it to him he WILL take it from you lol I have just started to teach him sign language.. he knows "NO", "come", "paw", "bear" "i love you" and learning some others.. I also have my own 4 chihuahuas and other foster dogs and he really follows what they do..like if someone knocks at the door he will see how they react and follow their lead.. they say that it is best to have other dogs with deaf dogs because they really teach them alot :)
